EXCLUSIVE: Terrifier 3 Coming Halloween 2024!
a production associate has hinted to us that they heard after the rabid success of Terrifier 2, Cinedigm Corp has already green-lit Terrifier 3 and is strongly considering part 4!
The third installment of the Terrifier franchise is reportedly in the works. Production on Terrifier 3 is set to begin later this year. According to sources close to the project, Cinedigm Corp., owner of horror brand Bloody Disgusting, streaming platform Scream Box, and popular Youtube alternative Vimeo, is considering green-lighting the third installment with an eye towards a Halloween release in 2024. While plot details are being kept under wraps, we're told that the film will pick up where the last one left off, with the story of Art the Clown and possibly a new pint-sized sidekick named Grumpy.
Terrifier is a 2016 American slasher film written and directed by Damien Leone and co-produced by Leone and Lisa Falcone. The film stars Jenna Kanell, Cameron Easton, and KateLynn E. Newberry. It follows a group of friends who are terrorized by Art the Clown (played by David Howard Thornton), a killer who was accidentally released from a mental hospital on Halloween night.
Terrifier was released to positive reviews from critics, who praised its direction, acting, and practical effects.
Terrifier 2 is the perfect sequel to the first film. It's got a great 2-hour runtime, which is just long enough to get all the scares in, but not so long that it feels dragging. The killings are creative and gory, and the suspense is palpable. This is a must-see for any horror fan.
Shockingly, an audience member fainted at a recent Terrifier 2 screening. It was so scary that she couldn't handle the slasher film and she fainted. When the audience member woke up, she was so scared that she couldn't move. The audience member was witnessed shaking and sweating, and the poor woman claimed she felt like she was going to vomit after regaining consciousnesses. It was reported to be the most scared she had ever been in her life.
Our anonymous insider on the set of Terrifier 2 has claimed that the new film is immediately going into production and will be gorier than any of the previous installments, which will be hard to top. The insider, who spoke on condition of anonymity as they would like to keep their role on Terrifier 3, said that they had overheard the new film would feature more death and destruction than any of the previous films in the series.
Our anonymous source claimed they had a great experience working on Terrifier 2 with Damien Leone. They found him to be a very down-to-earth guy who was easy to work with. He was also very open to suggestions and was willing to try new things.
A funny story our source shared was about how on the set of Terrifier 2 during the shooting of a especially gory scene, one of the props was a severed head that just wouldn't cooperate. The prop master tried everything to get it to work, but it just wouldn't budge. Finally, the anonymous source stepped in and offered to take care of it. "I'll take care of that," they said. "I know just the thing." With that, the crew member went to the props room and grabbed a can of WD-40. Then, they sprayed the severed head with it and gave it a good whack. The head popped right off, and the prop worked like a charm. "See?" the crew member said. "WD-40 always works."
According to our source, there is also alleged talks of producing Terrifier 4 back to back with Terrifier 3. The insider claims that the cast and crew are "shocked" by the news, and that many are concerned that the franchise is becoming too focused on making money instead of telling a good story.
The Terrifier films could very likely be the next big franchise in the horror genre, joining such giants as Friday the 13th, Saw, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween.
We'll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest news surrounding the alleged third and fourth Terrifer film as more information becomes available.
